RSPH Level 1 Award in Health Awareness - This award provides a basic awareness of the principles of health and the impact on health and lifestyle choices.

RSPH Level 2 Award in Understanding Health Improvement – This award provides an introduction into the fundamentals of health and well being, of barriers to making a change of lifestyle and of how to help people to make changes to improve their health.

Raising Health Consciousness Using Brief Interventions – To provide an opportunity for participants to understand the key health messages and the process required to influence individuals in making lifestyle changes around healthy diet, physical activity, alcohol and smoking.

Open College Network (OCN) Level 3 Health Trainer – The Certificate for Health Trainers builds practical skills and knowledge around all aspects of the NHS health trainer role, including communication, empowerment, relationship development and responsibilities

City and Guilds Health Trainer – With a Certificate for Health Trainers you’ll get the knowledge and skills you need to work as a Health Trainer – someone who works in a community to support people’s health and wellbeing with sensible and practical advice

Mental Health First Aid – Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is a 12-hour intensive course, usually delivered over 2 days. The course provides an overview of common mental health problems, causes, symptoms and treatments, and teaches people how to:

  • recognise distress
  • recognise the difference between Therapy and First Aid
  • be confident in administering help in a First Aid situation
  • provide initial help and guide a person towards appropriate support

Positive Steps – OCN level 1 & 2 – understanding mental and taking positive steps to improving your mental health and providing help and assistance

British Heart Foundation (BHF) Healthy Hearts – BHF training resource designed to help people understand their own hearts and how they can look after them

Safeguarding Children Level 1 -To support the Training & Project Officer in the planning and delivery of the annual training programme for the Children’s and Schools Workforce Development (CSWD) Team.
